Our services

Mindfulness Meditation

Our Mindfulness Meditation Fundamentals is our free 8-week program specifically designed for Muslim mothers. The program aims to teach mindfulness techniques, reflective exercises, and practical coping strategies that align with Islamic principles. Our goal is to help participants gain a deeper understanding of mindfulness as a therapeutic tool, leading to improved focus, concentration, positive framing, acceptance, and awareness of the present moment. Participants have reported improved mental well-being, emotional flexibility, reduced stress and anxiety symptoms, and enhanced behavioral self-regulation.

Please note that our current program is FULL. You can e-mail us at info@maternalminds.org to be added to the next cohort.

Holding and Healing Space

Holding and Healing Space is our free 8-week program for Muslim mothers in Milton dealing with grief, suffering from stress, or managing chronic illness. We aim to provide a nurturing environment that teaches stress and anxiety management techniques and offers guidance and support to improve communication and build community connections.

During the program, we will focus on building cognitive skills to help caregivers understand their relationship to anxiety, foster creativity, and develop self-awareness and self-empowerment through mental health literacy.

Please note that our current program is FULL. You can e-mail us at info@maternalminds.org to be added to the next cohort.

New Beginnings: Post-partum Support Group

Caring for our well-being is crucial, but it can be particularly challenging for new parents, especially mothers who may feel isolated and struggle with transitioning into their parenting role. We are excited to announce our upcoming free eight-week program designed to provide a supportive community for postpartum mothers, focusing on promoting self-care, safe spaces, and mental well-being. Our sessions will connect Muslim mothers with community members while also teaching culturally relevant coping mechanisms that help cultivate a strong sense of self and well-being. Throughout the program, our sessions will focus on teaching self-care strategies, allowing mothers to meet their individual needs, all while providing a safe space to build stronger bonds within the community.

Stay tuned for more information on this upcoming program!
